6 steps to complete the form.
Create your application
Start at indianboi.gov.in or download the official Su-Swagatam mobile app. Enter your email address to begin. Use an email you can easily access on your mobile phone during travel.
Enter passport details
Type your surname, given names, date of birth, nationality, passport number, and expiry date. Copy these exactly as they appear in your passport. Include middle names only if they appear in the machine-readable zone.
Enter flight information
Provide your operating carrier flight number (e.g. AI302), departure airport, and scheduled arrival date and time in India. Do not use a codeshare flight number — cross-check with your airline's booking confirmation.
Enter India address
Type the full street address of your first accommodation in India — hotel name, street, city, state, and PIN code. If you encounter a "No district found" error, type the city name manually into the district field.
Complete health declaration
Answer the simple yes/no symptom questions. You do not need to upload any medical documents. Do not leave any field blank — the system will not let you submit the form.
Submit and save confirmation
Review all details carefully and submit. Take a screenshot of your confirmation screen and the reference number. You must show this to airline check-in staff and immigration officers — keep it accessible without internet access.
What happens next?
Email confirmation
Your email confirmation usually arrives within minutes. This digital confirmation serves as your actual India E-Arrival Card — you do not wait for a separate approval step.
If the confirmation doesn't arrive, check your spam folder first. You can also download it directly from the official portal using your reference number.
Print or digital?
Most Indian airports accept the digital confirmation on your smartphone. However, we strongly recommend carrying a printed backup in case of dead battery or no connectivity upon arrival.
To print: open the confirmation email and print the page directly from your browser.
